Solyanka Soup is a rich, tangy and hearty traditional Eastern European soup with a deep, smoky flavour and comforting, rustic character. A fragrant beef broth (30%) is loaded with smoked sausages, bacon and ham, potatoes, pickles and olives, then balanced with tomato paste, lemon juice and aromatic spices.
Every spoonful brings a mix of smoky, sour and savoury notes, especially when served in the classic way – with a slice of lemon and a spoon of sour cream. It’s a perfect hot meal for cold days or whenever you want something truly satisfying.
The soup comes frozen in a convenient “tablet” (1.3 lbs), ready to turn into a full pot of Solyanka in minutes.
Cooking method:
Place the frozen soup "tablet" into a pan, add 0.5 cups of water or broth, cover with a lid, and bring to a boil on the stove. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve with sour cream. You can also reheat it in the microwave using a similar method.
