Description
Pork Benderiki are thin crepes folded and stuffed with juicy pork filling, then pan-fried until golden and crisp on the outside and tender inside. The crepe batter is made from premium wheat flour, cow milk, chicken eggs, butter, water, white granulated sugar and salt, giving a soft, elastic wrapper that browns beautifully in the pan.
The filling combines stringless half-fat pork, pork fat, bulb onion, salt and ground black pepper, creating a rich, home-style taste with plenty of juiciness and aroma. After defrosting, the benderiki can optionally be dipped in a light egg batter and then fried in preheated sunflower oil or butter over low heat until hot through and nicely browned.
Serve Pork Benderiki as a snack, hot appetizer or main dish with sour cream, yogurt or garlic sauce, fresh salad or pickles. They’re convenient for quick lunches, dinners or a satisfying street-food style meal at home.
Cooking method: Benderiki are defrosted at room temperature, egg batter is made, if desired, and benderiki are fried in preheated sunflower oil (butter) over low heat.
