Description
Chicken benderiki are thin crepes folded and stuffed with juicy chicken filling, then pan-fried until golden and crisp on the outside and tender inside. The crepe batter is made from premium wheat flour, cow’s milk, chicken eggs, butter, white sugar and a pinch of salt, giving a soft, elastic wrapper that browns nicely in the pan.
Inside, there is a savoury mixture of chicken thighs, bulb onion, salt and ground black pepper, creating a rich, home-style taste. After defrosting, the benderiki can optionally be dipped in a light egg batter and then fried in preheated sunflower oil or butter over low heat until they are hot through and golden.
Serve Chicken Benderiki as a snack, hot appetizer or main dish with sour cream, yogurt sauce, fresh salad or pickles. They’re convenient for quick lunches, on-the-go meals or as a hearty addition to the dinner table.
Cooking method: Benderiki are defrosted at room temperature, egg batter is made, if desired, and benderiki are fried in preheated sunflower oil (butter) over low heat.
