Description
Cherry pierogy (varenyky) are sweet Ukrainian dumplings with a juicy cherry filling and delicate dough. The dough is made from premium wheat flour, drinking water and refined sunflower oil, while the filling uses quick-frozen cherries with a little white sugar and salt to balance the taste. Each dumpling has a bright, fruity centre and a soft, tender shell.
They are perfect as a dessert, sweet main course or weekend family treat. Cook the frozen varenyky in boiling salted water for about 2 minutes, then carefully remove and serve with butter, sour cream, extra sugar, honey or a light vanilla sauce.

Cooking method: frozen varenyky are put into boiling salted water. They are brought to a boil while stirring and cooked for 2 minutes. Cooked varenyky are taken out from the water and dressed to taste (with butter or sour cream).
